MEET HOLLAND
Bold Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
Mayor C. Holland Perdue III is a lifelong resident of Rocky Mount, Virginia. Born to Clyde H. Perdue Jr. and Vickie Brubaker Perdue in 1985, Holland's roots in this region run deep. He attended public schools in Rocky Mount, and graduated from Franklin County High School in 2003. Holland completed his undergraduate work at Virginia Tech, and graduated with a Juris Doctor from the Appalachian School of Law in 2010.
At that time, Holland returned to Rocky Mount to practice law in the firm founded by his grandfather, Clyde Holland Perdue. Perdue has offered legal counsel in civil and criminal matters in courtrooms throughout Virginia, as well as arguing before the Virginia Supreme Court, and is admitted and qualified to practice law in the Supreme Court of the United States.
In addition to his legal practice, Perdue runs several small businesses, and invests with his time and financial resources to help other entrepenuers achieve their professional goals.
Prior to being elected Mayor in 2022, Perdue served as the Chair of the Rocky Mount Board of Zoning Appeals.
Holland Perdue currently serves on the Board for the Commonwealth Alliance for Rural Colleges.

During my campaign for Mayor, I stressed the need for cooperation in local government. I know that by working together, we can achieve great things for our community. Since my election, with your support, we have achieved many of the goals we set forth. We have increased transparency in government through live-streaming our council meetings, amended the Town Charter to include term limits for Council members, and signed an agreement to develop a prominent parcel of land that will bring financial growth, and provide much needed housing that will benefit our community for generations to come.
But there is much work yet to do.
We have far more in common than any of the "hot button' issues that may separate us. By continuing to work together, we can make our community, and communities across the Commonwealth a better place to live and work.
